Oh Happy Day!

Posted in Miscellaneous on June 11, 2010 by lcprince

It is a happy day indeed for me!

I have been for some time thinking of giving my site a face lift.  It has been stewing in my mind for some time.  Too long….

So now it is done!

I have a new site that I think is more me.

So head on over…I already have posted a Wedding I shot this past Sunday.

Hello Love / Knoxville, TN Wedding Photographer

Posted in Weddings on June 4, 2010 by lcprince

I love LOVE.  Who doesn’t?

Warm fuzzies, close soft touches, incessant giggling, nervous pink cheeks, long gazes.  I love it.

Okay, so here is the skinny.  I have been dying to get to this Wedding all week long!  Finally last night I was able to sit down and edit my favs for Natalie and Jeremy’s sneak peek.

I could go on about how much I LOVED being at this wedding.  I loved loved loved it.  Natalie contacted me a while back and said that she and Jeremy are photographers as well, and wanted to know if I would come to their intimate wedding and shoot their ceremony.  “Uh, …yea!!!”.

I had never met Natalie or Jeremy, except for looking at their website.

I liked them immediately.  I have never shot a ceremony where there is zero wedding party.  Usually brides with like 7 to 10 bridesmaids and groomsmen call me.  So this was a nice treat.  It was intimate…like 15 people intimate.  It took place in Jeremy’s mother’s beautiful home off here patio.  And it was so beautiful !

Not only do Natalie and Jeremy obviously make a gorgeous couple, their passion for the Lord and love for their family and people was even more obvious.  By the end of the 2 hours, I felt like part of the family.

Anyways,…I could go on and on!  Let me just say that I was still smiling all the way home.

Natalie and Jeremy’s photography business donates 10% of everything they make to an Orphanage in Africa that Jeremy frequently visits.  In fact, they are there now in Kenya honeymooning.

So if you guys are getting any internet access…here you go!

xoxxo

Since it ended up raining, they made alternate plans for the outdoor wedding on the patio.  But I loved this just as much!

So Jeremy has this hat.  I could not resist getting g pictures of him with it.

Watch out…here comes the sillines!

I wanted to get a picture of them chilling on the porch.  They totally posed it up for me….if you can tell.  I was cracking up….

Mr. and Mrs. Curl!

I had a blast guys !

Shannon and Ryan Engaged/ Knoxville, TN Wedding Photographer

Posted in Couples and Engagement on May 27, 2010 by lcprince

I met up with these love birds downtown this past Sunday!  And if you recalled what Sunday was like, it was sunny and blistering HOT.

But you would never know how much we were all perspiring in these pictures.  Shannon mentioned to me that Ryan had a bit of hesitation.  Which I totally understand because even I can get the “deer in the headlights” look when I am on the other side of the camera.

But let me tell you, Ryan and Shannon were the easiest people to take pictures of!  Probably because they both love to be with each other and a hot 90 degree day downtown did not stifle their love at all!

What I love most is how much they make each other laugh.  I think Shannon giggled the entire time.  And in 90 degree weather, folks that is love!

Ryan and Shannon are getting married in Alabama this August.  I am insanely jealous for their Wedding photographer.  Imagine with me….sear sucker suits+ corn flower blue dresses + outdoor wedding + Ryan and Shannon.  Yes, I am jealous.

But I was so honored that they come back to their hometown and chose me as their photographer for this session.

Ryan and Shannon, thanks for bringing your all and running around downtown with me!  And Ryan, thanks for wearing a long sleeve shirt and making it look like you were enjoying a cool Spring Day.

I had a blast with you guys!  Enjoy!

I love this one~

Their pup Oscar.

Are they not the cutest couple!!?

We stopped to give Oscar a water break.  Poor Oscar never stopped panting the entire time it was so hot!

One last sprint through the Market Square fountains!

Happy Wedding you two!

Luke and Hannah / Knoxville, TN Wedding Photographer

Posted in Weddings on May 26, 2010 by lcprince

I had the awesome privilege this past weekend to photograph this wedding.  Luke and Hannah are both so sincere and humble.  It was a joy to be a part of this day with them!

There was certainly a hustle and bustle present at this wedding.

Nothing of the normal anxieties that would normally be present.  No, both of the Duncan and Pair families were all laughs, jokes and so laid back.  I loved it!

The groomsmen made time to attack one another with Nerf missile things ( I am not a guy so I have no idea what they are called),the Duncan kids were cruising around on these skate board things ( again, I do not know the vocab for such fancy toys), and the girls were all laughs and silliness.

Still with all the silliness and fun going on, everyone was so eager to see these two finally united.

Luke and Hannah, I know you are honeymooning right now, but if you have internet access…here is your sneak peek!

Again, thank you for asking me to be your photographer!  I had a blast~

One of the groomsmen, whom will remain unidentified, forgot his black socks.  So I thought a high water shot was appropriate.

Luke is one of 9 brothers and sisters.  It is so apparent how much they love one another…

…and how much fun they have together!

Beautiful Hannah~

Does she not just overflow with sweetness!?

James, the youngest Duncan.  They all have these incredible blue eyes.

I was taking some family pictures when these guys cruised by in the background…with a baby.  I died laughing it was too hilarious !

Mr. and Mrs, Duncan!

Landan is One!

I can hardly believe it…Landan is one!  I got to photograph this little guy since he was a newborn.  Wow, time flies.  And I thought my kids grew fast!

Landan is all boy, super cute and with sugar on top!!!

Andrea and Mark, here is your sneak peek of your precious son~

Enjoy!

The Haun Fam

Posted in Babies, Children, Family on May 11, 2010 by lcprince

Here is the Haun family.  I had such a blast hanging out with Nathan and Melissa and their two little boys!

What I loved immediately about this family is how totally chill they were.

They were wanting some newborn shots of their little guy Greyson, so I had this black cloth draped over Nathan while he held a naked fussy Greyson.

While we waited a bit for Greyson to fall asleep, I went over and got these pics of Taylor below.  I come back to Nathan, and he has been pooped on twice and he could not feel anything below his waist.  But all the while he was all smiles and full of joy.

I know, what were we thinking leaving a diaperless newborn diaperless for 20 minutes!?  The things you do for pictures right!  And Melissa was just a delight to talk with.

We shared mommy stories and laughed about all the crazy things that happen when you are a mommy of two babies.  I hugged her when I first met her because I felt like we were pen pals or something we had correspond by email so much.  Sorry if I scared you Melissa…

Well, the rest of the shoot went awesome and I so enjoyed to hang out with this family.

I love all these pictures…

Nathan and Melissa, I hope you guys love these as much as I do!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

We were able to get a lot of “dad and son” pictures while Melissa was caring for Grayson.

These are all so sweet and my favs…

Everytime I asked Taylor to smile, we would squint his eyes like this.  It was simply adorable!

And right when Nathan and Melissa copied him he stopped.  But I love this picture for that very reason…

This one…I love.  It is so sweet.

And here he is “smiling” again!

The Sluss Family

Posted in Babies, Children, Family on May 11, 2010 by lcprince

When Stephanie booked this session, she told me this would be their first real family pictures.  I was totally honored and a bit nervous.  What if I totally bombed!?

But the Sluss clan is so easy going and full of laughter, it was not hard at all to get some great pictures that totally capture this family’s love for each other.  I love this family!

I met up with Clifton and Stephanie on her dad’s property.  We all piled in on an off road Jeep and you guessed it…we did some off roading!  It was a beautiful property and we ended up at their family cabin.

Oh and it gets even better than that!  They all have incredibly blue eyes.  How could this photo session not turn out incredible?!

And how can I not get up close with eyes like this….

Caleb or “Cubby”

Silly sweet Sophie.

I literally took all the following shots one frame after another.  One mili second after another.

She is so incredibly precious and has her own adorable personality.

I could have taken pictures of her all day…

And sweet Audrey~

Black and Whites of PHB

Posted in Babies, Family on May 8, 2010 by lcprince

So I am in love with Black and White pictures.  If I could, I would blow up enormous sized black and white pictures and hang them all over my house.

After finishing Patrick and Heather’s session, I had to post some more just of some black and whites.   I just love them!

There is a few in here that I am tempted to put up in my own house!

Baby Beckett

Posted in Babies, Family on May 4, 2010 by lcprince

The sweetest Baby ever…Baby Beckett~

I loved shooting this session.! I have been looking forward to getting together with Patrick and Heather for some time.  We had to reschedule a few times, but we finally made it happen!  I am so excited about these images I might burst!  I love them all so much….

Much of the time when I take pictures, I look through my lens and look for an image that moves me.  Like a poetic movie where the scenes grip you and stir emotion within you.  As cheesy as that all sounds, I say it because during this shoot Patrick had music playing in the back ground and I loved it!  It only reinforced what I think goes inside of my head when I am searching for a shot.

I am tempted to start carrying a boom box to my session….As if me coming with all my gear isn’t intimidating enough!

Patrick and Heather, I had such an awesome time hanging with you all.  I hope you love these pictures as much as I do~

Enjoy !

Heather just glows with that beautiful mommy glow…

I love these in front of the painting…

To me these are the perfect “Dad and baby” pictures.

I am in love with these 2 below….I think I really just love her hair and how it hangs over her face.

I know we all think our own babies are the cutest thing alive…but look at this picture.  Really,…is he not the most adorable thing ever!

And I could not resist getting some couple shots of P & H

J&M Sneak Peek time!

Posted in Couples and Engagement on April 27, 2010 by lcprince

I loved Meredith the moment I met her.  Full of life and laughter!

Yesterday I met up with Meredith and her fiance Jason.

My they are so sweet ~

We were on a beautiful property.  I was having sensory overload.  It was so hard for me to pick only a few spots.  I could have been there all day~

We even had the luxury of driving on the property on a gulf cart! So fun!!!  As I rode around sipping on a Coke, for a second I did consider having a gulf cart at all my sessions….nah.

But, there was a moment of hesitation when we decided to take the gulf cart ….down a steep hill..towards a lake.

There was a brief moment that we considered the scenario that we would all three be in the lake.   But alas!  A gulf cart is a powerful vehicle!  And we did make it back UP the hill as well….

I can never do just a sneak peek of just a few pictures.

I just can’t help myself!

So, Jason and Meredith, enjoy your sneak peek!!!

I had so much fun running around the farm with you both~

Is Meredith not gorgeous!!  It looks like it should belong on a magazine…

One of my favs below…

And who can resist a trampoline?

See you love birds in a couple of months!!!

Matthew and Jessica’s E. Session/ Knoxville Wedding Photographer

Posted in Couples and Engagement on April 7, 2010 by lcprince

I met up with Matthew and Jessica off of Norris this weekend.  Wow, was the weather gorgeous!  We also had incredibly aggressive winds almost the entire session!

Good thing I forgot to remind my assistant ( who holds all of my fans for fake wind) to come along!  Just kidding…I do not have any assistants.

But I could have told you these were on the sandy beaches of the Caribbean the water is so blue!  Incredible huh?!

Here is your sneak peek guys!

I had fun walking around the lake with you and getting caught in turbine/hurricane winds together!

I hope you love them~

See you soon on the big day!

Okay, so I took a lot of pictures of Ashley.  It is so different when I have only ONE person I am photographing.  No kids running away, no need to position people etc.

This truly was so fun to just really hang out together and try out some creative stuff!

Ashley is a Photographer as well.  So it was a real honor !

Check her out at http://ashleyhodgsonphoto.wordpress.com

And p.s…I am in love with all of these pictures~
